One Coordinated Field Scope Around the Fiber Route

Fiber construction rarely affects only the ground below the route.

Dunamai crews complete the fiber scope through one project-management and field-leadership structure, considering the route, construction method, access conditions, installation sequence, affected surfaces, adjacent trades, and requirements for related surface work as connected parts of the same field operation.

Services Not Provided by Dunamai

Dunamai does not provide:

  • Fiber splicing.
  • Fiber testing.
  • Terminations.
  • As-built documentation.
  • Network activation.

Those responsibilities must be assigned to other members of the project team.

A Strong Fit for Coordination-Sensitive Fiber Projects

  • Planned underground fiber routes requiring trenching or directional boring.
  • Conduit, pull rope, handholes, or vaults.
  • Cable pulling and physical fiber placement.
  • Routes crossing asphalt, concrete, sidewalks, curbs, roadways, or landscaped areas.
  • Active commercial, industrial, or infrastructure sites.
  • Work areas shared with other contractors or construction phases.
  • Projects where restoration timing affects access, subsequent work, or final turnover.
  • Owners and general contractors seeking one coordinated Dunamai field scope from pathway construction through surface restoration.

How the Fiber Scope Moves

  1. Review the Project Scope

Review the available drawings, route information, project location, access conditions, construction requirements, affected surfaces, schedule, and interfaces with other contractors.

  2. Plan the Field Sequence

Coordinate trenching or boring, conduit and access-point installation, cable or fiber placement, backfill, followed by restoration within the larger project schedule.

  3. Construct the Underground Pathway

Complete the agreed trenching, directional boring, conduit, pull-rope, handhole, vault, and related underground construction work.

  4. Pull and Place the Fiber

Perform the cable pulling and physical fiber placement included in Dunamai’s contracted scope.

  5. Restore the Site

Restore the affected asphalt, concrete, roadway, sidewalk, curb, landscaping, or other surfaces so the work area is ready for continued construction or final use.
